As other people have said in the thread, Elfstones is much better. The Sword of Shannara is the only one that's a blatant Tolkein rip-off, the other books that follow it are much more their own thing and much better (IMO). Elfstones in particular explores a pretty unique and interesting set of concepts. 6. Phizle.
