Started in 1974 by Manuel and Socorro Orozco in Downtown LB and supported by the large number of CSULB and LB City students, Super Mex has grown to seven locations in the Long Beach area, seven locations in the OC, and two in Nevada.

To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I have been ordering the Lite Chicken Bowl from Super and Jr. Mex locations since 2006. It used to cost about $6.75, which was perfect for a starving graduate student. Did anyone hear the screaming by the Super Mex on 1st and Alamitos? Full bodied, long screams from an adult woman. We think we saw her but we're not sure, and trying to figure out what happened.
